Having grown up in Zimbabwe and South Africa, I've lived in New Zealand since 1994, and in Wellington since 2002. 

My surgical and urological training was completed in New Zealand and Australia, with Fellowship training in Cardiff, Wales and Paris, France. Undergraduate university training Johannesburg, South Africa.

Although a general adult urologist deals with a broad scope of practice, my roles are predominantly laparoscopic urology, upper urinary tract cancer, transplantation, reconstruction, and female urology/urogynecolgy.

I am a full-time consultant urologist at Wellington Hospital, with commitments in both Private and Public urology practice.

Mr Andrew Kennedy-Smith is a urologist in Wellington, with a focus on all kidney surgeries, performing laparoscopic nephrectomy and robot assisted laparoscopy for these, and a focus on management of urinary incontinence in women.
