Profile

Dr Arthur Yang specialises in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the body and face. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he pursued additional fellowship training in cleft lip and palate surgery at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK. Mr Yang also undertook further training in Rhinoplasty in Turkey and the UK, as well as in Asian Cosmetic Surgery in South Korea. Since his return to Hamilton in 2017, he has embraced a role in improving Waikato’s regional cleft lip and palate service. Mr Yang considers working with his patients an honour, and taking them through a transformation into the best version of themselves is something that drives him in his practice.

Dr Yang is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Waikato Hospital and has been the Clinical Lead for the Midland Regional Cleft Centre since 2017. His expertise includes procedures for the face, ear, neck and body, as well as scar revision, skin cancer surgeries and hand surgeries. He is one of the few Plastic Surgeons in New Zealand who offers Asian cosmetic eyelid surgeries.
