Profile
Stewart is a founding partner at UniSports Orthopaedics. He has a keen interest in sports and is an orthopaedic specialist with over 20 years of experience in dealing with all soft tissue and joint injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle and foot.
In 1996, Stewart was awarded the prestigious ESSKA Travelling Sports Fellowship to Europe.
Since 1998 Stewart has headed the Orthopaedic Fellowship in Sports Medicine, which is an incredibly sought-after six-month fellowship available to surgeons both in New Zealand and from around the world.
Stewart has served on the Board of Drug-Free Sport New Zealand and in 2008 was the first orthopaedic surgeon to travel as part of the New Zealand Olympic team.
In addition to his practice at UniSports Orthopaedics, Stewart works at Starship Children’s Hospital as an expert in paediatric orthopaedics.
Interests
Stewart's sports orthopaedics practice is not restricted to one particular joint, but is in all general sports-related problems.
