BreastScreen Auckland Central is part of BreastScreen Aotearoa, the national breast screening programme for women aged 45 - 69 years.

You can have a free mammogram (breast screen) every two years if:

• You are aged 45 to 69 years of age
• You have no symptoms of breast cancer
• You have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months
• You are not pregnant
• You are eligible for public health services in New Zealand

Our aim is to ensure your mammogram is as easy and comfortable as possible:

• Free mammograms take 20-30 minutes
• You choose when and where you have your mammogram
• Our female staff are respectful, friendly and understanding
• We have late nights and Saturday appointments
• You can bring a support person
• We can arrange a free interpreter for you
