Update: Our community told us we need to make some changes. In response, we are improving the way mental health services work with you. We want to assure you we will talk with all service users and their whaanau about how changes might affect their care. If you have any questions please talk to your mental health clinician.

Counties Manukau Health Community Mental Health aim to provide culturally sensitive, accessible and quality mental health and addiction services for people aged 18 to 65 years of age, living in Counties Manukau.
We are part of the services provided by Counties Manukau Health Adult Mental Health
Who Do We See?
We support people with serious and enduring mental health and addiction issues that have a significant impact on their lives.
People from many cultures and backgrounds may have mental health concerns, our role is to provide you with the help and support that works for you, helping you live a happy, fulfilling life.
Where Will You See Us?
We provide support and advice in a welcoming community setting.
Our teams each have their own clinics. This means depending on where you live your appointment may take place in the following locations:
- Matariki are located at Matariki, 492 Great South Road, Ōtāhuhu
- Te Rawhiti are located at Te Rawhiti Community Mental Health Centre, 15 Aberfeldy Road, Highland Park
- Manukau are located at Manukau Community Mental Health Centre, Building 6, 17 Lambie Drive, Manukau
- Rapua Te Ao Waiora are located at Awhinatia Health, 5-19 Great South Road, Papakura
- Nga Raukohekohe are located at Pukekohe Hospital, 1 Tuakau Rd, Pukekohe
We may also visit you in your home or other welcoming place.
Staff
Who Are We?
Our service is made up of five teams, all of which support people living in different parts of Counties Manukau. Our teams are called:
- Matariki - who support people living in Ōtāhuhu, Ōtara and Māngere
- Te Rawhiti - who support people living in Pakuranga, Howick, Botany, Maraetai and Clevedon
- Manukau - who support people living in Papatoetoe, Manukau and Wiri
- Rapua Te Ao Waiora - who support people living in Papakura and Manurewa
- Nga Raukohekohe - who support people living in Franklin.

Referral Expectations
Counties Manukau Health Adult Mental Health receive all referrals to our service. A person from the Intake and Acute Assessment team may contact you and your family to discuss your needs.

Programmes
How Do We Help? We offer a range of support and evidence based treatments that are tailored to meet individual and family/whaanau needs. Some of our most commonly used supports include: Information and education about Mental Health issues and treatment options Psychological therapies Medication Referral to other services. Treatment may be provided one-on-one or in groups. Whaanau, family or other support people are all welcome to participate in appointments (with your consent), and may play an important role in your recovery. Some people may only need one or two appointments, after which we will provide advice to your GP who will continue your treatment. If English is your second language we can arrange an interpreter, please let us before your appointment. If you would like to talk to someone with lived experience of mental health and or addictions contact our Peer TALK phoneline on 0800 234 432. This phoneline operates between 5pm and Midnight, seven days a week, and will connect you with a trained peer support worker who will listen to your experience and help you access further help if needed. Note: Peer Talk supports adults over 18. If you are under 18 contact Youthline on 0800 37 66 33. Need Immediate Help? For urgent after-hours support please contact 0800 775 222, or phone your Community Mental Health Centre at any time. If you are having suicidal thoughts, or are worried about someone, there is help available.
