Intensive support service for pregnant women or parents with children under three years of age, who are experiencing moderate to severe difficulties with alcohol or drugs.
Te Ara Manapou has an Addiction and Maternal Mental Health arm. Our Addiction side provide support for pregnant mama's and their partners and/or Mama's/Dad's with a baby under the age of three who are struggling with addiction and poorly engaged with other services. Co-ordinate services to work together so whānau needs are best met. We support you to have whānau wellbeing and good outcomes for your tamariki.
Our aim is to improve the wellbeing of whānau experiencing addiction or mental distress. Te Ara Manapou supports whānau in a non-judgemental way by walking alongside them in their journey.

Te Ara Manapou is a non-judgmental intensive support service for pregnant women or parents with children under three years of age, who are experiencing problems with alcohol or drugs. The team provides support to help mums and dads regain control of their lives by: Co-ordinate services to work together so needs are best met Meeting where you feel safe Help pregnant women and families access antenatal care, parenting support, community and health services Help to reach recovery and parenting goals to improve outcomes for children Work to reduce judgement and stigma you might experience from other services Provide education on the effects of alcohol and other drug use during pregnancy and in relation to parenting
