Here’s what you can expect from Southern Cross Hospital Hamilton:

• To make your stay as comfortable as possible, rooms for overnight stay have an ensuite, television, radio, telephone and WiFi.
• We have a modern and comfortable day-stay facility for those who do not require an overnight stay.
• We only have registered nurses working at our Hamilton hospital.
• We provide nourishing, quality meals for overnight patients and can cater for special dietary requirements on request. We also provide light refreshments and sandwiches for day stay patients.
• High dependency care or intensive care services are available as necessary.
• We deliver complimentary daily newspapers on request.
• Visitors are welcome during the day until 8pm - but please note that we have a compulsory rest period from 1.00pm to 2.30pm for all patients who have had major surgery.  Please let us know if we can support you in limiting your visitors.  We aim to ensure a restful and private environment for all our patients.
• Visitor parking is available.
• The hospital has a private courtyard garden available for patients and visitors.

Our goal is to offer the finest private facilities in the Waikato.  Our recent upgrades and extensions are important steps on the path to accommodating the increasing demands from patients and medical specialists alike, including onsite overnight medical cover from Monday through to Saturday.

Ultra-modern operating theatres and facilities are supported by rigorous sterilisation systems and the strictest safety methodologies. Additional consulting rooms for on-site radiology have been added to our on-site facilities for specialists and patients.
