Dr Anuya Deshpande grew up in the UK from the age of three, after her father moved the family there to work as a paediatrician. She trained as a GP in the UK after graduating from University of Manchester’s Medical School. During her undergraduate years she completed overseas electives at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and The Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Dr Anuya came to New Zealand in 2006 and her ongoing postgraduate studies here have included a Fellowship in Cosmetic medicine, Diplomas in Dermatology, Skin Cancer diagnosis and Surgery, and a Certificate in Ultrasound in Phlebology. Most recently she attained her fellowship with the Australasian College of Phlebology.

Dr Anuya Deshpande is the force of nature behind the Cosmetic & Veins Clinic. She has been a doctor for 23 years, including seven years as a GP, 16 years in cosmetic medicine, and 13 years performing vein treatments. During the past decade, Anuya has completed post-graduate qualifications in Appearance Medicine, Varicose Vein treatments (Phlebology), Dermatology, Ultrasound, Skin cancer, both diagnosis and surgery.
