Description
Vein Consultancy is a Dunedin-based business. Our group is composed of 2 specialist radiologists, a sonographer and a registered nurse. We specialise in diagnosing and treating patients with symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, variose veins in their lower limbs. As a team, we aim to provide a patient-centric approach to high quality medical care for individuals suffering from this condition. This is caused by faulty valves in the veins, which lead to blood build-up and impaired circulation.
Our experienced medical professionals will evaluate the specific needs of each individual thoroughly. This begins with an obligation-free assessment of the symptoms, medical history and lifestyle factors. Once chronic venous insufficiency is diagnosed for the lower limbs, a detailed mapping of the venous disease will be performed. The comprehensive evaluation allows the team to offer each patient a personalised treatment plan. Options include minimally invasive procedures, lifestyle modifications, and non-invasive support.
To help reduce the risk of future deterioration, follow-up is expected for 12 months after the initial treatment. These preventive measures aim to improve overall health and wellbeing.
